Hurricane Roll Down Shutters
This review covers what to look for in hurricane shutters. There are four major types of hurricane shutters. The first is panel shutters which are usually made of aluminum and steel; they must be screwed into place when wanted, and unscrewed when you store them.
They can be quite bulky, and dangerous to put up. Another type of hurricane shutter is the accordion shutter, which is fixed to the building, and is on a sliding track; you simply pull the panel(s) together, and lock them. The most advanced hurricane shutter is a Roll-Up- or Roll-Down hurricane shutter. This type of hurricane shutter is electrical, but can be operated manually in the event of power loss.
